We say easy, but there are pitfalls here for the unwary. The feature is really simple to use – just shoot your video and upload it. You don’t need a bunch of fancy equipment – as long as you have a reasonably good smartphone, you can just point and shoot.

At least, that’s how Instagram markets the feature. And if you’re running a personal page for family and friends, that’s really all there is to it. If, on the other hand, you want to build your subscriber base and get better engagement from users, you’re going to need to put more thought into it.

And once you’ve gone through the standard simple post ideas, like the behind-the-scenes look or close-up product videos, it can become challenging to come up with fresh ideas.
