Why Pinterest Marketing? Here are 3 Good Reasons

Pinterest has become a top social media source for businesses due to quite a few reasons. The three I am going to focus on in this post are branding, traffic and advertising.

#1: Establish Your Brand

You can establish your brand and grow your followers on Pinterest. But you may wonder how this really can help your business. It lets you show the ‘personality’ of your brand by your boards – it is not all about the products and or services. It is also about the business owner’s inspirations. Show readers something interesting and worth pinning to learn about your business and your personality. People want to work with people!

#2: Drive Traffic to Your Site

The ball starts rolling when you pin, repin and like your content. In order to drive traffic to your site, give readers content that they want to read through and know more than merely pinning it. Catch their attention with good visuals (this is the whole point of Pinterest,right?) and give them something more to learn about it (e.g. How to DIY, etc). Tease your followers with more information to click through gets the desired traffic to your website.

#3: Provide Advertisement

With each business come product(s) and/or service(s). You can provide advertisement of what you have to offer. Describe your offerings and pricing them also takes it to the gift stream. This will let readers know it is your product you are promoting and not one of the products that you are merely following.

Your business can grow in Pinterest if it does not overwhelm you from the start. It is not your regular social media site where you post comments, add pictures, etc. Your Pinterest profile, or anyone’s profile for that matter, will be composed of visuals. Post your own, pin someone else’s, like, comment and repin is how you to build an audience on Pinterest.
